We aim to renew this place of hospitality, welcome and learning as a resource for Church and society in a turbulent and changing world. Our aim is to ensure that all who come can share in our life and leave refreshed and renewed through their experience.
People who stay at the Mirfield Monastery, home of the Community of the Resurrection, come for a variety of different reasons. These can be individually arranged retreats, guided retreats led by a member of the Community or the College, week long special courses, or clergy retreats.

IGRs enable you to spend a week in personal prayer and reflection on scripture, sharing silence with the Community. The emphasis is on growing in the practice of discernment – finding God in all things. You will be able to meet each day with the retreat conductor who will accompany you and offer suggetions for further prayer.
Cost for each Individually Guided Retreat: £350.00
As Christians, we journey with Christ through the years of our life. Sometimes people leave their ordinary surroundings and make a special journey to spend time in the presence of God in a special place. Our Pilgrimage retreats are an invitation to come to such a place and stay with us for a short time – to worship, eat and talk with the brothers of Community; to explore faith together; and to see what the Rule of Benedict might have to say for your own daily living. Come and walk with us, wherever you are on your faith journey. Whether you come alone or bring a group from your parish you will find companions for that journey and experience the mystery of the Resurrection, the life-giving love of God at the heart of all things.
The cost for this retreat is £135
We all pray! But this retreat is for those wanting to take the important first tentative steps away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and experience periods of solitude and silence. Retreatants will join the Community for worship and meals, and Br Jacob CR will lead times of prayerful togetherness.

In addition to talks by the retreat director, you can enjoy being cared for by eating well, resting and relaxing in the gardens and lounges, and participating in the worship offered throughout each day. So come apart and rest awhile in the presence of God on this peaceful site in Mirfield.
