Since its foundation in 1892, the Community of the Resurrection has been supported generously through bequests from those whose lives it has touched.
Over time this has enabled the Community to strengthen its daily life, ministry and mission as well as undertaking exceptional projects. These include the foundation and renovation of the College of the Resurrection, support for education, social justice and healthcare in Africa and the recent reordering of the Community’s church.
The Future
The Community is committed to sustaining this place of prayer, formation and learning as a source of support and encouragement for the thousands who come each year. Through this ministry, we can all make our contribution to the transformation of Church and society. A gift in your will is a way to support the works of the Community of the Resurrection for generations to come.
There are many ways of supporting the Community’s works at home and abroad through a gift in your will.
You might consider:
- A Residual Gift
A proportion (or the whole) of your estate once expenses have been met.
- A Pecuniary Gift
A specified sum of money. The disadvantage of this is that the value of the gift may reduce with inflation.
- A Reversionary Gift
Assets can be left to the Community while allowing another individual to benefit from them during their lifetime.
- A Specific Gift
Personal possessions (for example, property, art or antiques) can be left to the Community.
Any gift made to the Community in your will can reduce liability for Inheritance Tax on your estate as well as being of enormous value to the Community of the Resurrection and its work with church and society.
Making a gift to the Community of the Resurrection in your will is a way to support the Community for generations to come.

Visit or Stay
We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
