We aim to renew this place of hospitality, welcome and learning as a resource for Church and society in a turbulent and changing world. Our aim is to ensure that all who come can share in our life and leave refreshed and renewed through their experience.
People who stay at the Mirfield Monastery, home of the Community of the Resurrection, come for a variety of different reasons. These can be individually arranged retreats, guided retreats led by a member of the Community or the College, week long special courses, or clergy retreats.

The Monastery Chapel offers a unique and intimate setting for your wedding. Forming part of the monks’ church, the beautifully refurbished Romanesque Chapel offers seating for 110 guests to witness you tie the knot.
We are still taking bookings, and have ample weekday and limited Saturday availability for the summer of 2021 if you have had to postpone your special day. Please be in touch to start planning your special day.
The wedding service is conducted by the Parish Priest from Christ the King, Battyeford.
Church Hire and fees for 2020/21 are £650.00.

The Great Hall, with its high arched ceiling, combined with 20 acres of walled and private gardens make this an amazing venue for your wedding reception. We can offer a range of areas ideal for photographs, and catering options to meet every taste, appetite, need and budget. It is truly a venue without match.
We pride ourselves on making every wedding reception special, focusing on getting every little detail right. We work with you to offer exactly what you want in every area. With no other couples on site, Mirfield Monastery is exclusive to you with a fantastic venue. Our dedicated team work hard to ensure your special day is one that you and your guests will be talking about for years to come.
And when the evening is over there’s no need for your guests to worry about getting late-night taxi home: they can stay the night on site in our Bed and Breakfast.
We offer a comprehensive choice of styles, ranging from traditional English fare to Mediterranean, North African, Greek, Arabic or almost anything else you choose. We have no set menus, preferring instead to work with you to provide the food you really want.
From Buffet to Banquet – whether you would like a three-course silver-service wedding breakfast, a buffet or a medieval banquet, it is your choice and we are always happy to oblige. Indicative menu prices are set out below, but all menus can be made bespoke to your requirements.
We can offer a range of buffets, hot sandwiches, bacon and eggs, a pizza and much more besides! The choice is yours, and we will ensure all your needs and wishes are met.
We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
