What’s On Guide

The brothers continue to be encouraged by the number of people who choose to come to Mirfield on retreat or to one of the day events. There are also many who come simply to pray and join in the worship for a time. And we are always glad to welcome those who have come here for rest and quiet and to share something of our life.

You can view our 'What's On' leaflet for 2020 here, giving details of our Retreat House programme for the year. This time round we have included the stimulating programme of day events along with the residential retreats - you can find out about these in the leaflet. Some highlights of the year include the retreats in February, April and November on our life’s paths, and the day encounters with Buddhism (June) and Islam (October). If you are coming for a day event, why not make of your visit a longer stay or personal retreat?

The work of the Mirfield Centre also continues, drawing together the insights and skills of all the partners of the Monastery at Mirfield on behalf of the wider Church under the theme of ‘monasticism and … ’.

This means that you can expect the Centre to add further activities to the calendar during the year and these will be shown on our website, in one of our regular newsletters and via social media.

We would be happy to send you copies of the programme if you are able to share these with friends or through parishes and other groups. Simply call our Guest Office on 01924 483346 or e-mail us if you would like copies or if you want any other information on the contents of our programme.

Visit or Stay

We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
