We aim to renew this place of hospitality, welcome and learning as a resource for Church and society in a turbulent and changing world. Our aim is to ensure that all who come can share in our life and leave refreshed and renewed through their experience.
People who stay at the Mirfield Monastery, home of the Community of the Resurrection, come for a variety of different reasons. These can be individually arranged retreats, guided retreats led by a member of the Community or the College, week long special courses, or clergy retreats.

Holy Week at the Community and College of the Resurrection is a powerful and moving celebration of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Beginning our journey on the eve of Palm Sunday, we live together through the experience of Holy Week. From Maundy Thursday we enter into silence until the great vigil of Easter and the celebration of Easter Day. As we celebrate these ancient liturgies we are all drawn into the heart of the Christian faith. You are invited to join us in this experience.
Experience the beauty of the ancient ceremonies and liturgies of the passion alongside members of the College and Community. A period of living and praying together, with time to be quiet and time to talk and celebrate. The week explores the meaning and hope we find in the death and resurrection of Jesus.

“Hand in Hand with God”

Our IGRs are Ignatian-style retreats. There are no addresses as in preached or themed retreats. Rather, each person with the help of an experienced guide follows their own path as it seems God is leading them. The emphasis is on integrating body, mind and heart in faith.

We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
