Hello to all our companions and friends.

We are almost at the end of January and Friday will be the feast of the Presentation.  Where did Christmas go?  It certainly seems like a long while since we were in retreat around the fire!  That said, I have just been fortunate enough to have five days on a retreat in Alnmouth before my temporary profession (March 12th.)  I duly ask your prayers and we welcome you if wish to attend for the 6 p.m. Mass.  I had five enjoyable days, and did a fair bit of reading, which was welcome.

The house welcomes nine people on IGR this week; Oswin preached in Chichester for the funeral of Ken Little (Monday 29th Jan) and I have the great joy of preaching in my home church St. Peter’s, Hutton Cranswick  on Sunday for the Baptism of my niece Iris, who is seven months.

One of the upcoming jobs will be thinking about Holy Week prep.  I go to Harpole in Peterborough diocese.  Prayers for this work too.

Did anyone mention we had a new superior?

Blessings, Marc CR
