Many have found Mirfield a welcome place to spend all or part of a sabbatical. Those on sabbatical live alongside the brothers in worship and meals, keeping the monastic rhythm of the day. The Retreat House offers quiet space, particularly suitable for study or reflection on prayer and the religious life. We also offer an occasional Artist-in-Residence scheme, where the Community invites an artist to live alongside us for a period of time.
Sabbaticals
It is good to take rest and it is good to take that rest in God. Those who have been given the opportunity for a sabbatical come here for some or all of the time, to live alongside the Community, participate in chores around the house, church and grounds, and undertake the deeper and more prolonged process of learning; a balance of time for reflection and study, punctuated by the daily monastic rhythm of prayer and worship.

Artist-in-Residence
Another way of staying here is as Artist-in-Residence. Through the Northern Sacred Art Foundation it is possible to get a grant for an artist. Contact Fr Oswin CR for further information.
Visit or Stay
We welcome you to come to CR and to share in our life. Some come regularly to talk with a brother, others spend a day or two experiencing this very different environment. Individuals and groups come on retreat and pilgrimage, share in the teaching and courses we offer and join us in worship and meals.
