Still haven’t found what you’re looking for…?
The human race is searching, but do we know what we’re looking for? St Augustine said that, ‘our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.’ God is the beginning of our journey and the culmination of all our endeavours to find what we’re truly looking for and discover who we really are. We are persons made for love because we are created from the love who is God. If we want to know what love is, we have to get to know the One who is love, the one who first loved us. For whom or what are you looking? Do you want to know what love is? Come and delve deeper into the mystery of love who is God during this May bank holiday retreat.
Leaders: Fr Simon CR & Br Marc nCR

Bread Of Heaven
‘Bread’ appears in the bible 306 times and has long been a staple of the diet; Benedict’s rule gives instruction on the quantity each should receive. During this silent retreat we will spend time in prayer, with music, art and literature, with Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar – and we might bake some bread along the way!

For more than 120 years, the Community of St Mary the Virgin (Wantage) and the Community of the Resurrection (Mirfield) have worked together – in the UK and in South Africa.
In 2018, we are delighted to have programmed two joint retreats – at Mirfield in April and Wantage in October – as part of this continuing relationship.
Sr Elizabeth Jane and Br Philip will lead this silent retreat in April, which will include four addresses and opportunities for individual conversations with the leaders. Retreatants will eat together and join the Community for worship and prayer.
The retreat will begin with Evensong (6pm) on Friday 27 April and finish after lunch on Sunday 29 April. Retreatants are welcome to arrive before and/or to stay on afterwards.
Led By Sr Elizabeth Jane CSMV & Br Philip CR
The inclusive cost of the retreat is £140, including meals and two nights’ accommodation in the retreat house.
